Our commitment
CertProve Ltd wants everyone who works on a certification programme to be able to use CertProve, whatever assistive technology they use. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA on the public website and in the product.
Where we are
This website and the product are partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 AA: most of the content meets the standard, and some parts do not yet. We have not yet commissioned an independent audit. What we do today:
- Every page is built to work with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus state and a sensible tab order, and we check that by hand on every public page before a release.
- Every form field carries a real label, not only placeholder text.
- Headings are structural (one top-level heading per page, no skipped levels), so screen readers can navigate by them.
- Motion on the website respects the operating system’s reduced-motion setting: animated backgrounds stop and pinned scrolling scenes show their resting frame.
- Colour is never the only carrier of a verdict; a pass or a finding is also named in words.
- Dates are written with the month’s name, so they cannot be misread between regions.
Known limitations
- Some of the engineering workbenches (fault trees, the FMEA worksheet, the safety-case map) are dense data tables and diagrams; they are usable by keyboard but slow, and the diagram views are not yet described in text for screen readers. Every figure they show is also available in a table or a downloadable document.
- A few low-emphasis captions on the public website sit close to the minimum contrast ratio against a photograph; we are raising them as we find them.
- PDF documents the product generates are tagged for reading order but have not yet been tested with every screen reader.
Tell us
If you find something you cannot use, or need any content in another format, email info@certprove.com with the page address and what happened. We reply within 5 working days and fix what we can in the next release. If you are not satisfied with our response, in the UK you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
Preparation of this statement
Prepared on 19 October 2026 from our own testing of the public website with a keyboard, a screen reader and an automated checker at desktop and phone widths. It will be reviewed when the product changes materially and at least once a year.
